STERLING, VA (August 1, 2026) — Marathon TS CEO Pam Siek has announced the promotion of Zander Regnery to Director of Business Systems. In this role, Zander will have expanded responsibilities for managing all of Marathon TS’ business systems, including its proprietary Time Bandit platform as well as the many client Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, like Unanet, Exostar, Deltek, Beeline, and Ariba, that it interacts with. As more and more companies adopt ERP systems to manage the time, attendance, and billings of their many business partners, it is critical that small companies like Marathon TS be able to accept time and invoicing information directly from client ERP systems and process that information for comparison and reconciliation in our own systems.

Like many Government Consulting (GOVCON) firms, most of Marathon TS’ revenue is derived from Time and Materials (T&M) services based on labor hours. The bread and butter of our business is to bill clients a set hourly rate for every worker or expert providing the service. In 2009, Marathon TS would bill 100% of our clients by creating an invoice and sending it to them. In turn, the client would then review the invoice, enter it into their Accounts Payable system, perform any needed reconciliation processes, and approve it for payment. For large companies with thousands of vendors, these internal processes could be quite involved and expensive. Eventually, large companies began to adopt ERP systems which would allow them to capture time directly from vendor personnel and then create internal invoices from which they would pay vendors. While this reversal of effort surely has saved large companies time and money, it has created new challenges for small business. First, it has now become necessary for small businesses to learn how to use a myriad of ERP systems, and second, small businesses must invest time and effort into reconciliation processes they did not have to perform before ERP. Knowing how to effectively use these “Business Systems” and integrate them into operational workflow has become a critical success factor for small businesses.

Zander’s dedication, work ethic and commitment to the company were all significant factors in his promotion. The depth and breadth of his knowledge of all our clients’ ERP systems as well as our own systems were also significant factors. “Over the years, Zander has proven to be a valuable leader and team player,” said Alan Siek, Marathon TS’ Chief Operating Officer. “He has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. I know I can always count on Zach—no matter the situation.”
